Role Description This is a full-time, on-site TGT English role based at The Veridian Ecole International School in Anantapur. The TGT English faculty member will plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum for middle and secondary grade learners. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching literature and language skills, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining detailed academic records. The role involves designing activities that promote reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking, as well as supporting students in examinations and co-curricular language programs such as debates, elocution, and drama. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings and school events, and contribute to a positive, value-based learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong command of English language and literature, with the ability to teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills effectively.
- Experience in lesson planning, classroom instruction, and student assessment at middle and secondary school level.
- Ability to design interactive, learner-centered activities that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related discipline; B.Ed or equivalent teacher training qualification preferred.
- Previous teaching experience as a TGT or similar role in a school setting; experience with international or modern pedagogical approaches is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Comfort with basic educational technology and digital tools to support teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Commitment to the holistic development of learners, including promotion of ethical values, discipline, and social responsibility.
