Role Description This is a full-time, on-site TGT English role for Classes 6 to 8, based at Mahesh Memorial Public Higher Secondary School in Bagh. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum requirements, including literature, language skills, and functional grammar. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, designing classroom activities, evaluating student performance through classwork, assignments, and tests, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves creating a supportive learning environment, managing classroom discipline, and providing individual guidance to learners as needed. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings, parent–teacher interactions, school events, and contribute to co-curricular activities related to English language and literature.
Qualifications
- Strong English Teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and familiarity with CBSE curriculum for middle school.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and interact effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to use Translation skills when needed to support learners from diverse language backgrounds.
- Customer Service–oriented mindset to address student and parent concerns with patience, respect, and professionalism.
- Training abilities to guide, mentor, and support students in improving reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.
- Recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed. with English as a major subject; a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in English or related field preferred.
- Prior teaching experience at middle-school level, ideally in a CBSE or similar setting.
- Comfort with basic educational technology for lesson preparation, assessments, and communication.
- Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory classroom practices, with a focus on student well-being and holistic development.
