Role Description The TGT Computer role is a full-time, on-site teaching position based in Jaunpur. The educator will teach computer science and IT-related subjects to middle and secondary school students, following the school’s curriculum and academic standards. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing instructional materials, conducting practical computer lab sessions, and assessing student performance through assignments, projects, and exams. The teacher will maintain accurate academic records, provide constructive feedback to students, and communicate progress to school administration and families as needed. Additional duties may include participating in staff meetings, contributing to co-curricular activities, and supporting the integration of technology across subjects.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals, programming basics, office productivity tools, and internet safety appropriate for school-level teaching.
- Ability to design lesson plans, develop teaching materials, and use digital tools and educational software to support classroom instruction.
- Effective classroom management skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and create an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
- Clear communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms and provide constructive feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience teaching computer subjects at school level or in a similar academic setting is an advantage.
- Comfort using school management systems, online learning platforms, and basic troubleshooting of classroom IT equipment.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, professional ethics, and ongoing skill development in educational technology.
