Vice President of Engineering

Job Title: VP of Engineering Location: Saket, India Experience: 5-10 Years Joining Period: Available to join in 15-30 days. Our flagship product, Trade Fantasy Game (TFG), is transforming sports engagement with a unique blend of daily fantasy sports and interactive card games. With a recent 400% increase in user engagement and a 1000% surge in GMV, we're poised for significant growth. Our mission is to revolutionise the way sports are experienced online, connecting fans with their favourite sports personalities and enabling them to play, trade, and earn as well. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the complete back-end infrastructure of TFG, primarily using Node.js and Express.js. - Oversee multiple repositories and servers, ensuring smooth and scalable operations. - Implement and manage messaging queues (RabbitMQ) to support system communication. - Design, maintain, and optimise databases (MongoDB and MySQL) for performance and reliability. - Integrate and maintain payment gateways for seamless transactions. - Develop real-time features for our games using Socket.IO and Redis. - Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (GCP) and utilize container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). - Automate deployment processes using Bitbucket pipeline and ArgoCD. - Configure and manage web servers (Nginx) and understand Linux commands for server-side operations. - Implement secure network connections using OpenVPN. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve game features. - Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to foster a collaborative environment. Key Must Haves: - Proven experience in managing back-end infrastructure with Node.js and Express.js. - Strong understanding of microservices architecture and ability to handle multiple repositories. - Proficiency in messaging queues (RabbitMQ) and real-time communication using Socket.IO. - Hands-on experience with both MongoDB and MySQL databases. - Familiarity with payment gateways integration and transaction handling. - Experience in cloud services, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Proficient in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Bitbucket pipeline, ArgoCD) for efficient deployment. - Competency in server management using Linux and web server configuration (Nginx). - Understanding of OpenVPN and secure networking practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
