About ATAC
Textron Systems - ATAC provides tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine and Air Force pilots, and is the only organization certified to train the Navy’s TOPGUN program. ATAC operates simultaneously across eight sites and two continents and comprises the world’s largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization and proudly provides the highest quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups. ATAC was the first civilian organization authorized to train the USAF’s F-22 Raptors.
About This Role
Job Responsibilities
• Manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft, aircraft engines and all associated gear, verifying aircraft are safe for flight in compliance with ATAC GOPS, Government contract requirements and FAA regulations.
• Oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring adherence to budgetary and safety protocols.
• Chief of Maintenance aircraft maintenance team, Director Of Maintenance and site Director of Operations regarding projects, tasks, facilities, personnel and operations.
• Typically manages through subordinate Leads and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
• Gives recommendations into developing the budget and hiring plan to include talent scouting, recruiting and resume collection.
• Responsible for prioritizing, performing, and supervising multiple complex maintenance functions as assigned.
• Performance will be continuously monitored by supervision and reviewed annually with the employee.
Qualifications
• Minimum requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, at least 15 years’ experience (FAA or military equivalency) with either an associate’s degree in business management, project management, organizational leadership or military Senior Enlisted Academy equivalent.
• Must be experienced and proficient in a supervisory, lead role.
• Must be capable of communicating effectively with both leadership and subordinates.
• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations requiring coordination with other departments.
• Experience with such programs as: Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information Systems, Tool and FOD, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, and Supply Chain Management.
• Desired experience with strong verbal and written skills, ability to lead diverse workforce, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products to include briefing and presentation abilities, coordination of personnel schedules to provide adequate manpower coverage as needed to support aircraft maintenance operations, experience in coordinating mod/retrofit actions with diverse team of contractors and end users to include depot maintenance management experience, proficient with researching and interpreting modification engineering drawings and manufacturing/material process specifications.
