Job details:
Company Description Loomkaari Studio is a textile design house where every creation begins as original, hand-drawn artwork and is transformed into timeless textiles by skilled Indian artisans. The studio works closely with weaving communities from the looms of Bengal to the clusters of Rajasthan, honoring and preserving centuries-old craftsmanship. Each fabric, rug, and textile reflects a deep respect for traditional techniques while embracing contemporary design sensibilities. Loomkaari offers a creative environment for designers who value heritage, artistry, and hands-on collaboration with artisans.
Role Description The Textile Designer will work full time on-site at Loomkaari Studio in Jaipur, collaborating closely with the design team and artisans. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing textile patterns and prints, creating design concepts and mood boards, and preparing detailed artwork and technical specifications for production. The role involves experimenting with textures, colors, and materials, overseeing sampling, and refining designs based on feedback and production constraints. The designer will support the adaptation of hand-drawn motifs into digital formats, ensure design consistency across collections, and contribute to seasonal ranges that align with Loomkaari’s artisanal and brand vision.
