Role Summary – Textile Design (Banarasi Weaving)
We're hiring a Textile Designer to bring fresh creativity to our team. Your role involves conceptualizing, creating, and overseeing the development for design collections.
Key Responsibilities
Research fashion trends, materials, and techniques.
Create a range on paper and select fabrics, trims, and right fits.
Oversee sampling and production processes.
Analyze market feedback for design decisions.
Stay updated on trends.
Handle end to end design process.
Requirements
Postgraduate Degree in Textile Design , NID preferred
5+ years of experience in luxury textile, handloom, or heritage-focused brands
Mandatory, hands-on expertise in Banarasi and Kanjivaram weaving
Strong background in craft development and hand drawing
Exceptional design portfolio showcasing handloom and weaving expertise
Proficiency in design software along with strong manual design skills
Excellent understanding of colour, texture, yarns, and material handling
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
High attention to detail and deep passion for Indian textiles and crafts
Ability to innovate while respecting traditional aesthetics
Open to collaborations with artisans, institutions, and external partners
