Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Textile Design Faculty based in Mumbai. The role involves teaching various aspects of textile design, including design principles, materials, and processes, to students at different proficiency levels. The faculty member will also conduct workshops, mentor students, and prepare course materials. Collaboration with academic staff to enhance the curriculum and promote innovative approaches to textile design is an integral part of this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Textile Design, Surface Pattern Design, and Color Theory
- Strong skills in Weaving, Printing, and Fabric Manipulation techniques
- Knowledge of Sustainable and Innovative Textile Practices
- Experience in Teaching, Mentorship, and Curriculum Development
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to stay updated with the latest trends in textile design
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field
- Practical experience in the design industry is advantageous
