Their core roles and responsibilities include:
- Staff Management: Assigning daily tasks to sales associates, managing work schedules (rotas), and monitoring attendance.
- Sales Target Achievement: Monitoring real-time sales performance and motivating the team to meet or exceed daily and monthly targets.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Tracking stock levels, verifying incoming shipments, and ensuring shelves are never empty (avoiding "stock-outs").
- Customer Service Excellence: Handling complex customer inquiries, resolving complaints on the spot, and ensuring every shopper has a positive experience.
- Training & Coaching: Training new hires on billing systems (POS), product knowledge, and company policies.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintaining the store’s appearance by ensuring products are correctly priced, clean, and displayed according to company standards.
- Reporting & Administration: Reconciling cash registers at the end of shifts and preparing daily sales and performance reports for the Branch Manager.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforcing health, safety, and security protocols to protect both staff and customers.
