Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership – Directs daily warehouse and distribution activities, including shift scheduling, workload planning, and resource allocation, to support production requirements and shipping commitments.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance – Develops, implements, and sustains a safety program for warehouse employees; ensures compliance with OSHA, SQF/FSMA, and site policies, including safe material-handling practices, GMPs, and required documentation.
- Service & Issue Resolution – Resolves daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-flow issues; partners with Quality and Production to address discrepancies, damages, or nonconforming product and supports corrective actions.
- Equipment & Facility Readiness – Ensures warehouse equipment and areas are inspection-ready; coordinates with maintenance for preventative maintenance and repairs impacting forklifts/mobile equipment (as applicable), docks, and material-handling systems.
- Team Management – Supervises, trains, and mentors warehouse employees and leads; assigns work, monitors performance, and provides hands-on support to ensure safe execution and timely completion of daily priorities.
- Planning & Coordination – Plans and coordinates receiving, staging, storage, and shipping activities to meet production needs, carrier schedules, and customer requirements.
- Inventory & Materials Control – Plans and directs inventory and stock control programs for warehouse supplies, food equipment, and materials; maintains accurate records of receipts/issues and coordinates replenishment (e.g., pallets, top sheets, bulk bags, heat shrink, stretch wrap, and trip sheets).
- Continuous Improvement – Uses operational data (e.g., inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, shipping performance, and damages) to identify root causes, improve standard work, and reduce waste while maintaining clean and organized work areas (5S).
- Teamwork and Collaboration – Works well with all departments to coordinate work needed with Warehouse and Shipping, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve performance.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day warehouse process and distribution operations; organize and supervise the workload of the Warehouse Lead and assigned employees to ensure safe, efficient execution.
- Order and organize warehouse and shipping supplies (including pallets, top sheets, bulk bags, heat shrink, stretch wrap, and trip sheets) to maintain readiness and prevent disruptions.
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing supplies and materials; ensure inventory transactions and shipping/receiving documentation are accurate and timely.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety expectations and safe work practices for all workers assigned to the warehouse; reinforce compliance through coaching, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Documentation & Support: Maintain plant records, logbooks, checklists, and work permits; generate work permits and work orders as required. Provide training and assistance to personnel as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day supervision for approximately 30+ employees in the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas, including the Warehouse Lead.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Interview prospective warehouse employees and provide hiring recommendations to management; support onboarding and role training.
- Train and coach employees on safety requirements, mobile equipment operation (as applicable), standard work, and daily operating procedures.
- Assign work, set expectations, and monitor performance; address employee concerns and resolve routine issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain required individual training and certifications; support cross-training and onboarding for new or reassigned employees.
Quality Role and Responsibility:
Ensure compliance with site quality and food safety processes by verifying that documented procedures are followed for all applicable activities. Serve as an active member of the Food Safety and Quality Team.

- Verify compliance with the HACCP plan and GMPs through established documentation and routine checks of processing/packaging activities.
- Monitor operations using documented procedures and policies; report nonconformances and implement or coordinate corrective actions to maintain compliance.
- Complete required verification and documentation activities accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience – Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior warehouse/inventory/distribution leadership experience preferred.
- Communication & Documentation – Ability to read, write, and interpret procedures and records; communicate effectively one-on-one and before groups.
- Technical & Analytical Skills – Basic mathematical skills (including fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions, and basic geometry) and experience supporting programs and services related to storekeeping, inventory control, and delivery/distribution.
Other Skills

Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Associate’s degree (or higher) in a technical, logistics, or operations-related field with 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing-support experience. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Core Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); timekeeping/payroll and web-based systems (e.g., E-Time Sheet).
- Read and apply safety rules, instructions, and technical manuals; write routine reports and documentation.
- Basic math and production reconciliation (production, shipped/received totals and metrics).
- Problem-solving and judgment; interpret and carry out written/verbal instructions (including diagrams and schedules).
- Basic administrative research and recordkeeping skills; ability to prepare routine administrative reports; working knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
