The Opportunity
Responsible for performing various testing procedures in a laboratory environment for quality assurance. Duties usually consist of making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative analytical tests, performing calculations and determinations on tests, and evaluating physical/chemical characteristics. Familiar with the use of standard and industry specific specialized laboratory equipment Analyzes test results and experiments to ensure conformity to physical and/or chemical specifications. Maintains records of analysis and tests An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Ensures that group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources.
- Maintain Safety and Quality standard in testing laboratories.
- Responsible for performing various testing procedures in a laboratory environment for quality assurance.
- Ensure implementation of Electrical tests as per applicable standards.
- Coordination with production team for on time testing deliveries.
- Coordination with internal/external customers during inspections.
- Ensure implementation of Quality Management System within test laboratory.
- Ensure calibration of all monitoring and measuring equipment's used in the process as per schedule.
- Maintenance of equipment used for testing.
- Ensure in process quality checks and skill certification of blue-collar employees.
- Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating to the employees (blue collar/white collar/contract) and blue-collar management for optimum qualitative output.
- Responsible for Productivity improvement.
- Responsible for 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement in testing laboratories. Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Review and implement ABRA & SOP.
- Leading the Lean Light House deployment with factory operations team
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical engineering with 5 to 7 years’ experience from High Voltage switch gear industry.
- Candidate should have deep understanding of test system with HV switchgear background with experience in electrical switchyard component testing.
- Should possess adequate knowledge and understanding of relevant national & international standards like IS/IEC.
- Must be able to understand different kinds of electrical schematic drawings. Should be capable of tracing the fault & solving it (both electrical as well as mechanical) by referring the documents.
- Must have worked in the Testing/Calibration/service field and should have the knowhow of the testing equipment’s.
- Should be able to handle the customer inspection independently Should have the knowledge of the equipment calibration and its certification.
- Must be familiar with SAP and well versed with MS Office
- Analytical aptitude and thinking, strong data collection, and analytical skills for a complex project.
- Self-motivated and self-organized. Open-mindedness and strong interpersonal skills.

- Excellent leadership and management skills.
