Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Automation QA Engineer with 6?8 years of experience in test automation, API testing, and performance testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Karate DSL, Java, BDD frameworks, and performance testing tools such as Gatling or JMeter. The role requires hands-on experience in automation framework development, cloud-based testing environments, and Agile delivery models. Exposure to the Supply Chain domain will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web services and APIs.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Karate DSL, Java, and BDD frameworks.
- Perform API testing and validation for microservices and enterprise applications.
- Conduct performance and load testing using Gatling or JMeter.
- Work closely with development and business teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and defect triage meetings.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Identify, track, and report defects while ensuring timely closure and regression validation.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to support testing in AWS-based environments.
- Prepare and maintain clear test documentation, automation reports, and testing metrics.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Karate DSL
- Expertise in Java programming for automation development
- Experience with BDD frameworks and test automation best practices
- Strong knowledge of API Testing and service validation
- Experience in Performance Testing using Gatling or JMeter
- Good understanding of AWS cloud services
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Good to Have
- Exposure to Supply Chain domain projects
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Experience with microservices-based architecture testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications in Automation Testing, AWS, or Agile methodologies will be an added advantage
