Role Description This full-time Test Engineer role is an on-site position based in the Pune Division. The Test Engineer will design, review, and maintain test cases and test scenarios aligned with functional and business requirements. Daily responsibilities include executing manual and/or automated tests, documenting test results, raising and tracking defects, and collaborating with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure high-quality software delivery. The role also involves participating in test planning, supporting regression and functional testing cycles, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes, standards, and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Test Engineering and Testing, with experience in end-to-end software quality assurance processes.
- Hands-on skills in Test Execution, including running test cycles, logging defects, and validating fixes.
- Ability to design, document, and manage Test Cases that clearly trace to requirements and user stories.
- Experience with Functional Testing, ensuring applications meet specified functional and usability expectations.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr) and basic understanding of automation frameworks is an advantage.
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC, defect lifecycle, and common QA methodologies (e.g., regression, integration, smoke, and UAT support).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and consistency.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, on-site teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
