Job Description
As a
Quality Assurance Test Engineer, you ensure the delivery of high‑quality, secure, and reliable applications across the CCO Domain by applying strong test strategy, automation, and quality engineering practices throughout the full SDLC. You work hands‑on with developers, product owners, solution architects, and UX/UI designers to validate that front‑end, API, and Azure‑based solutions are scalable, user‑centric, and aligned with DLL’s enterprise architecture. In this role, you design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for the Azure platform, APIs, the Developer Portal, and external portals, driving the adoption of stable and reusable testing methods.
You support Agile delivery teams by embedding quality from the start, guiding test planning, and contributing across all testing domains including unit, system, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. You collaborate with users and stakeholders to clarify test criteria, ensure comprehensive validation, and promote continuous improvement in test practices and tooling. By mentoring team members, fostering best practices, and contributing to engineering excellence, you help ensure consistent, predictable, and high‑value software delivery across areas such as Asset Management, Pay‑Per‑Use, and Global APIs.
Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Test Strategy
- Define, write and execute test data, test scripts, and lifecycles to ensure reusability across UI, API, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks and tools (Playwright-preferred)
- Ensure solutions meet accessibility, usability, performance, and reliability standards.
- Collaborate with developers and architects to validate technical feasibility, identify risks early, and ensure testability of designs. Co-develop, document, and communicate test procedures.
- Champion the adoption of reusable test components, shared libraries, and scalable test automation patterns.
Essentials & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- proactive, hands‑on, self-starter mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- 3-5+ years in Information Technology and experience working in Agile/Scrum
- Advanced experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer).
- Strong understanding of:
- JavaScript/TypeScript for automated testing
- API testing (REST, GraphQL) using tools such as Postman or REST Assured
- Accessibility & usability standards (WCAG)
- Web application architectures and testing strategies across front-end/back-end components
- Experience working with:
- Azure services (App Configuration, Application Insights, Key Vault, Azure AD, etc.)
- CI/CD automation for testing and deployments
- SQL and working with relational databases for test data validation
- Solid understanding of application security and secure testing practices (XSS, CSRF, input validation, etc.).Solid understanding of web application security and secure coding practices.
