Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to support our quality assurance efforts. In this role, you will collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and product teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications across web, mobile, and backend systems. This is an excellent opportunity to build strong testing fundamentals while gaining exposure to real-world product environments.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Understanding & Test Design
- Understand business and technical requirements to create test cases and test scenarios
- Assist in designing effective test strategies for various application components
Testing Execution
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications
- Execute functional, regression, and integration testing
- Support API testing using tools like Postman
Defect Management & Collaboration
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Jira
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
Automation & Tools
- Assist in maintaining and executing automation test scripts
- Gain exposure to automation frameworks and best practices
Agile & Process Participation
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities (daily stand-ups, sprint testing)
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and feature validation
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear documentation of test cases, results, and defects
- Ensure traceability and proper reporting of testing activities
Work Environment
- Agile-based development setup
- Mentorship and guidance from senior QA engineers
- Exposure to real-world product and service workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Basic understanding of software development and testing lifecycles (SDLC & STLC)
- Knowledge of software testing concepts including test cases and defect lifecycle
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Required Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in software testing / QA
- Hands-on experience in manual testing
- Basic experience in API testing (Postman)
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira or similar)
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (Selenium / Playwright – exposure level)
- Basic understanding of SQL or database queries
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to automation testing frameworks
- Basic understanding of mobile testing (Android / iOS)
- Familiarity with Git or version control systems
- Awareness of CI/CD concepts
- Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript / Python / Java)
