Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer who can take ownership of transforming manual end-to-end testing processes into a scalable, efficient, and robust automation ecosystem. The role requires a strong understanding of ORAN architecture, including vCU, vDU, Cloud platforms, Orchestration layers, and EMM/OSS systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to building a comprehensive automation strategy that integrates API, network, cloud, and UI testing into a unified validation framework. Development of automation scripts for test cases and provide inputs for increasing the test coverage.
Domain Expertise :
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of telecommunications systems, particularly 4G/5G RAN architecture and hands on automating test cases for ORAN components such as vCU and vDU.
• Knowledge of orchestration mechanisms and northbound interfaces like EMM is highly desirable.
• Experience working with distributed systems and an ability to debug across multiple layers of architecture will be a strong advantage.
• Understanding Container Orchestration (k8s, EKS etc.), is mandatory.
Observability & Validation (FCAPS).
• The role requires the ability to validate system health and performance using observability tools.
• The candidate should be familiar with monitoring and logging platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Loki.
• They should be capable of designing validation mechanisms based on logs, metrics, and alarms to ensure system stability and correctness.
Nice to Have
• Experience with chaos engineering, performance testing tools, and telecom-specific protocols will be considered an advantage.
• Exposure to modern automation practices such as parallel execution and large-scale test orchestration will also be beneficial. Success Metrics Success in this role will be measured by the candidate’s ability to significantly reduce manual testing efforts, increase automation coverage across critical workflows, improve testing efficiency, and enable early detection of defects in the CI/CD pipeline.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology (B.E/B.Tecch) Master’s in computer application. (MCA)
