Overall Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, desktop, or mobile applications.
- Convert manual test cases into automation scripts.
- Execute regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites.
- Identify, log, and retest defects.
- Contribute to framework enhancements under guidance.
- Support CI/CD execution and maintain test reports.
Skills and Tools
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Test Complete, UiPath Test Suite, or Tricentis.
- Working knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or SOAP UI.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and version control (Git).
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile methodology.
- Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Automate assigned test cases.
- Execute automation scripts and analyze results.
- Log defects with proper documentation.
- Attend daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies.
- Maintain automation scripts and update test documentation.
- Collaborate with developers to validate defect fixes.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in automation testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- Certification in automation/testing (optional but preferred).
