Cloud Database Managed Services Consultant

Tessell is looking for a Cloud Database Managed Services Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional database management services to our customers, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of their cloud-hosted databases. Key Responsibilities: - Proactively monitor and manage customer database environments, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization - Implement and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies - Provide 24/7 on-call support and incident response for customer database issues - Automate database maintenance tasks and develop custom scripts/tools to enhance efficiency - Collaborate with the customer's technical teams to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions - Continuously stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and industry best practices Requirements: - 3-5 years of experience in database administration, preferably in a cloud environment - Strong expertise in at least one major database platform (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.) - Proficient in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, PowerShell, or Python - Understanding of cloud infrastructure and managed services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Strong communication and customer service skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
