Procurement plays a crucial role in shaping this transformation, ensuring we have the right suppliers, contracts, and strategies to support our evolving business. Opportunity We're looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Insurance Money and Services team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Please note at Tesco Insurance and Money Services this role is known as a Category Manager. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires strong procurement expertise, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously The role As a Procurement Manager for all IT services infrastructure, you'll be expected to negotiate complex supply agreements for the delivery of network infrastructure and connectivity hardware, software, support and maintenance services at Insurance and Money Services sites across the UK. You'll be provided with the opportunity to work on some of the biggest contracts for the business, which shape the future of the Technology Insurance and Money Services. We're looking for someone to support Tesco Group stakeholders, by negotiating commercial and legal terms with new and incumbent suppliers and managing supplier relationships. You'll be challenged in this role due to the fast and exciting pace and the role you'll play in closing out key contracts/agreements that make a difference for our customers and colleagues. Our Procurement colleagues enjoy that they are accountable for leading their category and are given the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the business. Our colleagues also enjoy the fact that we work closely with our Technology colleagues and are viewed as an extension of their team. What you'll be doing Aligning procurement activities with the transformation program, ensuring supplier agreements and contract dates support the overall strategy. Engaging with stakeholders across Tesco Group and Technology, leveraging group-wide contracts to drive cost efficiencies and strategic value. Managing supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business requirements. Supporting the procurement team with procurement activities, including contract administration, tracking, and reporting to maintain governance and efficiency. Build and deliver Category Plans by being innovative and collaborative with various cross functional stakeholders. Delivering high savings targets through implementation of robust sourcing events, ensuring that suppliers meet all operational requirements whilst providing best value for Tesco Insurance and Money Services. Consistently track and report on savings targets for specified sub-categories using the agreed process. Using sound judgement build new and develop existing supplier relationships to ensure continued suitability and create greater value across the organisation. Support the business to achieve compliance with legal, ethical, and social procurement policies with integrity and good judgement.
