Under the direction of the EVS Manager, Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing facility linen support services by ensuring the collection, distribution, processing and inventory of linens.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs the responsibilities of the position consistent with Terwilliger Plaza policies.
- Ensures quality linen support services through the maintenance of efficient workflow patterns and in
cooperation with other staff and residents. Must demonstrate an ability to work under minimal
direction and supervision - Maintains a clean and tidy work area and equipment, following cleaning schedules and routines for the
departmental and ensuring the proper care and economical use of resources. - Sorts linens for processing.
- Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
- Operates ironers.
- Folds and sorts linen onto proper shelves for wrapping and pickup.
- Inspect linens for required markings.
- Protects own health and health of others by adopting safety work practices, reporting unsafe
conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and
safety. - Observance of universal precautions and Hazard Communications.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Years/Months of Experience:
Six months or more related experience
Knowledge / Mental / Skill Requirements:

- Normally works 8 hours per shift, however, this may be subject to change for business or care purposes. Job may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak periods.
