The EVS Deep Cleaner, under the direction of the EVS Director, is responsible for performing routine annual apartment deep cleans, Move -In cleans, facilities work orders, and any other task assigned to them in relation to both departments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identifies conditions and applies appropriate technique and chemistry to properly clean various types of floor coverings including but not limited to carpet, upholstery, sheet vinyl, vct, marmoleum, wood, engineered flooring, concrete, etc.
- In partnership with the EVS Director, develops and maintains a cleaning and maintenance log/calendar for all tasks in WorxHub
- Always uses appropriate PPE
- Establishes a safe work area using job specific safety equipment tools i.e. barricades, caution tape, wet floor signs, etc. at all time
- Properly cares for equipment inventory and maintains maintenance records on all tools hand and/or powered.
- Always provides quality customer service to the members.
- Inside windows washed
- Window screens vacuumed
- Clean HVAC unit
- Replace HVAC unit filter
- Pull out refrigerator, clean coils, and clean and disinfect behind refrigerator
- Clean underneath and on top of kitchen and bathroom cabinets (where space is available)
- Pull out the stove, and clean behind stove (except for PV)
- Clean inside the ovens
- Clean inside the microwave
- Kitchen vents wipe and vacuum out
- Bathroom vents wipe and vacuum out
- Replace all batteries with smoke detectors
- Kitchen fluorescent light fixtures cover clean and disinfect
- Bathroom vanity light fixtures cover clean and disinfect
- Complete any work orders assigned through facilities
Non-Essential Job Functions:
Perform other duties as directed. (supporting housekeepers, evs techs, laundry, floor techs)
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Years/Months of Experience:
Six months or more related experience
Knowledge / Mental / Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellence customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn.
- General knowledge of housekeeping skills.
- General knowledge of how to operate any equipment needed to perform tasks.
- Knowledge of vacuum cleaner operation and maintenance.

- Work alone and as a member of a team, able to plan own work activities and work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Knowledge of Hazard of Communication program
- Ability to operate maintenance and power equipment; good skill in the use of hand and power tools.

- General cleaning equipment: various brand of carpet\upholstery extractors, side by side floor scrubber\polisher, auto-scrubbers vacuum cleaner.
- Various hand tools associated with the task – floor scrappers, doodle bug, floor squeegee, mops, and wax applicators of various types.
Physical Activities of the Position:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Pull, carry 10 lbs and push 40 lbs.
- Requires two-hand dexterity
- Ability to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, climb multiple flights of stairs.
- Ability to lift objects while vacuuming underneath
- Continuously bending and stooping, standing, walking
Environmental Factors:
Inside environment conditions, consistent with Housekeeping climate; may be subject to infectious waste, diseases, conditions including TB, Hepatitis B. and AIDS or NORO virus'; Observance of universal precautions and Hazard Communications. Must be able to cope with decline in population and the eventual loss of life associated with working in the geriatric field.
