JOB SUMMARY
Provides direction and comprehensive leadership, of our Operational Excellence, Business Process Excellence Programs, and AI initiatives supporting the practical application of Lean/Six Sigma tools, sustaining a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing behaviors, and helping to improve operational effectiveness and associated controls across the enterprise. Assisting facilities in identifying and executing ideas and projects that drive product quality improvements, elimination of waste, increase efficiency, and productivity whilst driving improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Shape business processes within operations, manufacturing, quality and other cross-functional teams to drive enterprise operational excellence
- Lead process mapping, health checks, and process optimization initiatives to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Drive adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste across business processes
- Collaborate with enterprise digital office to drive AI adoption, execute critical AI enterprise projects, and provide tools to enable learning for the broader organization by leveraging AI in their day to day work
- Serve as a subject matter expert in business process management, quality improvement, and change management.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training, development, and engagement initiatives
- Develop uniform governance of Terumo BCT Operational Excellence to maintain alignment across each of the factories, ensuring best practice deployment
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team focused on quality and operational excellence
- Teach and coach cross functional teams on the use of the core operational excellence tools and techniques
- Create process mapping and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, with the manufacturing network.
- Provide leadership on specific assigned projects, to accelerate improvement initiatives.
- Develop and track KPIs to measure progress and success of operational excellence initiatives across the factory network
- Facilitate Kaizen events and other collaborative problem-solving sessions
- Provide update and suggested course correction to management on the status of operational excellence initiatives
- Ensure consistency of deployment with annual self-assessment with representatives from various sites. e.g., Global OpEx leader, Site Director, Site Quality Dir/ Mgr, Prod Mgr. Supply Chain Mgr. Eng Mgr, etc
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in operational excellence and share with team members.
- Serve as a role model for continuous improvement and positive change
- Participate in strategic business analysis and annual budget process
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, or manufacturing. Master’s preferred
- Accredited Six Sigma certification or Black Belt qualification
Experience
- Minimum 10 years experience
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred

- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of associates and management, including senior leaders at the Executive/Senior Vice President, Vice President, and Director levels
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Target Pay Range: $196,100.00 to $245,100.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base: 30.0%
