About the Role
Orkla India Limited is looking for a driven and results-oriented Territory Sales Executive (TSE) to strengthen our sales and distribution footprint. The role is critical in delivering sales targets, expanding outlet coverage, and ensuring strong in-store execution across the assigned territory.
Key Challenges
- Achieving primary and secondary sales targets across volume, value, and SKU mix
- Expanding outlet coverage and ensuring consistent product availability
- Driving superior in-store visibility and shelf presence
- Ensuring adherence to sales systems, distributor policies, and stock norms
- Managing billing, collections, credit, discounts, and market returns effectively
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned sales value and volume targets in the territory
- Drive outlet coverage, visibility, availability, and freshness of stocks
- Implement structured selling processes and effective negotiation techniques
- Develop short-term and long-term sales objectives using sales data and insights
- Ensure timely resolution of trade and distributor grievances
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to improve sales force effectiveness
- Support distributor management, stockist operations, and secondary sales
- Monitor and control cost of sales, collections, and market returns
- Ensure strict adherence to company systems, processes, and reporting standards

- Outlet coverage and market reach
- Visibility, availability, and stock freshness
- Market returns as a percentage of sales
Candidate Profile
- Education - Graduate (Mandatory)
- MBA – Sales/Marketing (Added Advantage)
Experience
- 4+ years of Sales & Distribution experience in an FMCG organization (Mandatory)
- Exposure to markets of the HQ/assigned territory
- IT-literate with working knowledge of MS Office and internet tools
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and selling skills
- People and distributor/stockist management skills
- Excellent execution discipline with adherence to systems and processes
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively
Language Proficiency
- English – Good (Level 3)
- Local language – Fluent / Mother tongue (Level 4–5)
