With over 6 years of expertise in the footwear industry, Kameleo operates across multiple retail formats including full-format stores, pop-up kiosks, and on-wheels retail units, with a presence across Telangana and an international partner store in Oman and Mauritius currently. The brand is on an active expansion path targeting 50+ pan-India stores by 2027.
Role Overview
The Territory Manager for Karnataka will be responsible for overseeing the complete retail performance of a cluster of 4 to 5 Kameleo stores within the region. The role requires a strong blend of operational discipline, analytical thinking, and people management. The Territory Manager serves as the direct link between the Head Office and the store teams, translating organizational strategy into day-to-day retail execution and ensuring that brand standards, sales targets, and customer experience benchmarks are consistently met across all stores in the cluster.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day operations across all assigned stores, ensuring full adherence to Kameleo's brand standards, store protocols, and customer service guidelines.
• Conduct regular structured visits to each store in the cluster to review performance, identify operational gaps, and provide on-ground support and direction to store teams.
• Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales data for each store; identify trends, seasonal patterns, and underperformance areas and implement corrective action plans accordingly.
• Prepare and submit structured weekly and monthly performance reports to the Head Office, covering sales, footfall, inventory status, team performance, and market observations.
• Plan and execute local sales campaigns and marketing activations in coordination with the brand's marketing guidelines and ongoing national campaigns.
• Monitor stock levels across all cluster stores; coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely replenishment and prevent stockout situations for key products.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and inventory reconciliation across stores in the cluster.
• Recruit, on-board, and train store staff in coordination with the HR function; build team capability through regular coaching sessions focused on product knowledge, selling technique, and customer engagement.
• Manage and nurture relationships with mall management teams, local retail partners, and other key stakeholders in the Karnataka market.
• Identify and escalate operational, logistical, or people-related bottlenecks to the Head Office in a timely manner and work towards their resolution.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline will be an advantage.
• Preferred prior experience in retail operations, area or cluster management, or a similar multi-store leadership role, preferably in the fashion, footwear, or lifestyle segment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, identify patterns, and convert observations into structured action plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of engaging confidently with senior leadership at the Head Office as well as frontline store staff.
• Demonstrated experience in business planning, target setting, and performance management across a distributed retail network.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions on the ground with minimal supervision.
• High sense of ownership and accountability towards the stores and the business outcomes of the cluster.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka on a regular basis. Possession of a valid driving licence is preferred.
Working Hours and Leave
Managers are entitled to one fixed weekly off per week. Sick leave is accrued at 1.5 days per month. Additional leave entitlements such as earned leave and festival leave shall be governed by company policy in force at the time.
Compensation and Employment Terms
The first two months of employment shall be treated as a probation and training period. During this period, a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) per month will be applicable. Upon successful completion of the probation and training period, the candidate will be confirmed as a fixed employee of the company. The confirmed monthly compensation will be Rs. 28,000 (Rupees Twenty-Eight Thousand) + Incentives per month. Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI) contributions shall be applicable as per statutory requirements and will be in addition to the stated salary.
