Role Description The Territory Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai . The person in this role will manage sales activities within an assigned territory, including identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, and promoting KARL STORZ products and solutions. Typical responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, providing basic clinical and technical guidance on device usage, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, and monitoring market trends and competitor activity. The Territory Manager will also prepare sales forecasts and reports, participate in training and industry events, and support after-sales service in collaboration with customer support teams. This position requires regular visits to hospitals and clinics and close collaboration with surgeons, procurement departments, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical device or healthcare sales, preferably in endoscopy, imaging, or surgical solutions.
- Strong territory management skills, including planning, account management, and relationship building with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with comfort in engaging surgeons and hospital decision-makers.
- Ability to understand technical and clinical product features and explain them clearly to healthcare professionals.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to work independently and prioritize multiple accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, business, or a related field; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory and work in hospital environments as required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools; familiarity with sales reporting and forecasting.
- Experience in the Chennai healthcare market or similar regions is a plus.
