The Centralized Scheduling Supervisor has responsibility for assisting with the daily management of scheduling staff. The efforts of the Centralized Scheduling Supervisor ensures efficient scheduling and accurate, complete registration of patients and the seamless access to orthopaedic care provided. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, team-first mindset, self-motivation, and ability to function in a fast-paced atmosphere, can work independently and with a team.
Responsibilities include:
· Assists with reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly staff quality and production reports to ensure all areas of operations are performing at the best practice levels and adjust accordingly.
· Ensure staff complete work with a sense of accountability and ownership, as relates to their work area assignments by closely monitoring department metrics related to productivity and quality.
· Conducts, with Director, regular one-on-one meetings with all direct reports, and regular unit meetings to identify and resolve any issues.
· Assists Director with developing direct reports to improve skills as needed or deficiencies where identified.
· Assists Director in evaluations for staff performance in accordance with the performance appraisal process.
· Manages payroll for the Scheduling Department.
· Other clerical responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 2 years scheduling experience is preferred, with some experience in an orthopaedic practice a plus.
- Exceptional customer service and patient focus.
- Knowledge of insurance plans
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including experience with computer systems/Excel. Experience with an EHR or NextGen is a plus
