Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tendering Specialist role based in Bhubaneswar. The Tendering Specialist will manage the end-to-end tendering process, including identifying relevant tenders, reviewing tender documents, and preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders such as sales, finance, operations, and engineering to gather required information and ensure compliance with tender specifications. The Tendering Specialist will track tender timelines, submit bids within deadlines, maintain tender documentation, and support negotiations and clarifications with clients or authorities. The role also includes monitoring market trends, maintaining a database of past tenders, and contributing to continuous improvement in tender quality and win rates.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in tendering, bidding, or proposal management, preferably in automotive, electric vehicles, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in analyzing tender documents, contracts, and technical specifications, with the ability to interpret commercial and legal terms accurately.
- Solid skills in documentation, report preparation, and data management, including maintaining tender trackers and bid libraries.
- Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online tender portals and e-procurement platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with high attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with strong numerical aptitude for cost estimation, pricing comparisons, and margin analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications in supply chain, contracts, or project management is an advantage.
- Prior experience working with government or institutional tenders and knowledge of public procurement processes is highly beneficial.
