Role Description The Tendering Engineer Transmission Line will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting tenders and proposals for transmission line projects, ensuring technical and commercial accuracy. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing tender documents, preparing cost estimates and BOQs, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and finance teams, and obtaining vendor and subcontractor quotations. The role involves conducting risk assessments, clarifying technical queries with clients, preparing bid documentation and compliance matrices, and supporting negotiations and post-bid discussions. The Tendering Engineer will contribute to optimization of designs and cost structures, maintain tender databases and documentation, and provide regular reporting on bid status and outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in transmission line engineering, including understanding of design standards, materials, construction methods, and grid-related requirements.
- Candidates should possess tendering and estimation skills, such as cost estimation, BOQ preparation, bid pricing, and analysis of technical and commercial tender conditions.
- Candidates should possess project coordination and documentation skills, including cross-functional collaboration, preparation of bid documents, compliance matrices, and maintenance of tender records.
- Candidates should possess analytical and negotiation skills, including risk assessment, comparison of vendor/subcontractor offers, and support for commercial negotiations.
- Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field), experience in EPC transmission line projects, proficiency with MS Excel and tendering/estimation software, and familiarity with international standards and utility specifications.
