Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tendering Engineer based in Mulund - Mumbai. The Tendering Engineer will be responsible for preparing competitive quotations, evaluating tender specifications, coordinating procurement processes, and analyzing project requirements. Additionally, the role involves effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure successful tender submissions and subsequent project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete tender lifecycle on the GeM portal (bid participation to order execution)
- Identify relevant tenders, evaluate eligibility, and prepare bid submissions
- Handle technical and commercial documentation for tenders
- Coordinate with internal teams for pricing, product specifications, and compliance
- Monitor bid status, follow-ups, and ensure timely responses
- Maintain records of submitted tenders, approvals, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with government procurement norms and policies
- Track order processing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups through GeM
- Stay updated with changes in GeM policies and procedures
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred: Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering)
- 2–6 years of experience in GeM tender handling or government tendering
- Strong knowledge of GeM portal operations
- Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and documentation processes
- Good understanding of technical specifications (preferred for engineering products)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in e-procurement platforms apart from GeM
- Knowledge of government tendering norms
- Analytical and negotiation skills
