Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tender Manager with strong expertise in ACFT Fire Tender operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing aircraft fire fighting tenders, ensuring operational readiness, supervising maintenance activities, coordinating emergency response preparedness, and leading firefighting teams in compliance with airport safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of ACFT fire tenders and firefighting equipment.
- Ensure all fire tenders remain operational, roadworthy, and emergency-ready at all times.
- Supervise preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and inspection schedules for ACFT vehicles.
- Coordinate with airport authorities, fire departments, and safety teams during emergency situations.
- Monitor compliance with aviation safety standards, airport regulations, and firefighting protocols.
- Maintain records of vehicle servicing, inspections, fuel usage, and equipment status.
- Conduct regular drills, training sessions, and safety briefings for firefighting staff.
- Ensure availability of firefighting agents, tools, PPE, and emergency response equipment.
- Prepare operational reports and submit maintenance and safety documentation.
- Handle vendor coordination and spare parts management for ACFT tenders.
- Lead and supervise firefighting crew during emergency response operations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire & Safety, or related field.
- Certification in Airport Fire Fighting / Fire Safety preferred.
- Valid heavy vehicle driving license preferred.
- Knowledge of ICAO, DGCA, and airport fire safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of ACFT fire tender systems and operations.
- Experience in emergency response coordination.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work under pressure during emergency situations.
- Computer knowledge for reporting and maintenance tracking.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working at airports, aviation projects, or industrial fire services.
- Hands-on experience with major ACFT fire tender brands and firefighting systems.
- Experience in managing firefighting crews and emergency drills.
