Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tender role located in Ranchi. The Tender professional will be responsible for identifying relevant government and private tenders, collecting and analyzing tender documents, and tracking tender announcements and submission deadlines. Day-to-day tasks include preparing pre-qualification documents, technical and commercial bids, coordinating with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal, and project management) to gather required inputs, and ensuring all tender submissions comply with client requirements and company policies. The role involves preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing sheets, supporting negotiations, and maintaining detailed records of submitted tenders and outcomes. The Tender professional will also monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to improve bid quality and success rates.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes, documentation, and government/private e-procurement portals.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects, preferably in roads, bridges, or public works.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with estimating or project management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting proposals, clarifications, and correspondence.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills for cost estimation, BOQ analysis, and bid comparison.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tenders, deadlines, and documentation simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; relevant tendering or contracts certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a tender, contracts, or proposals role within the construction or infrastructure sector is highly desirable.
