Description
The Quality Technician will help ensure the accuracy of T.H.C.’s regulatory compliance system for tracking plants and product. He or she will perform inspections, tests, and measurements, and identify and address quality issues. They also work with other team members to ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process. The position reports to the Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize testing batches for safety and research testing.
- Coordinate scheduling testing and work with outside lab technicians to retrieve samples.
- Verify that processed goods are properly labeled as production batches prior to being sent out for testing.
- Verify that product is properly marked remediated prior to sending out for testing.
- Submit samples for testing in METRC and BC.
- Record test results into BC.
- Maintain internal testing log for flower and processed goods.
- Verify that lab technician is following all internal procedures as outlined in the third-party sampling document.
- Conduct process audits for all departments.
- Spot check finished product to make sure it fits quality standards.
- Execute other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
- Must comply with state regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to pass a background check required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1-3 years of experience in horticulture, agriculture, and/or marijuana cultivation preferred.
- Energetic team player, willing to take direction and learn new skills.
- Knowledge of METRC preferred.
- A combination of the above shall also be considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Long periods of prolonged standing and sitting.
- Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer.
- Ability to observe and assess material that deviates from established company standards.
- Some crouching or holding uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time; repetitive motions.
- Requires bending and lifting up to 70 pounds.

Work Environment:
- Similar to a busy manufacturing facility or warehouse.
- Occasional exposure to loud trim machines (ear protection provided) and extremely bright lights (eye protection provided).
- Occasional weekend or extended hours may be necessary during certain phases of plant production.
