About the Internship We're looking for highly qualified, advanced-degree students who are excited to change the world through cutting-edge innovation. As a Summer Intern at Tempus, you will: Apply classroom skills to real-world applications Work on value-added, comprehensive projects in science and technology Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-based environment Participate in professional development and network with peers from across the country Anticipated Summer Project(s) Research and develop next-gen computer vision models Advance the state-of-the-art in: High throughput microscopy Digital pathology Spatial transcriptomics Qualifications Advanced degree (Master's, MBA, or Ph.D.) expected between Winter 2025 – Summer 2026 Field of study: computational biology, biostatistics, statistics, or other quantitative fields Background in statistical analysis and machine learning Experience with: High throughput optical microscopy Digital pathology Genomics data (e.g. spatial/single-cell transcriptomics) Strong understanding of: Machine learning and/or computer vision algorithms Best practices in the above areas Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer skills; knowledge of Google Suite preferred A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively Be ready to fly the plane as you're still building it!
