About the role
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works closely with Fab Shop Foreman to oversee the workflow of the fab floor by estimating, scheduling, and estimating manpower.
- Ensure proper productivity levels within fabrication shop so that schedules for completion are maintained with an on time or ahead of schedule delivery status.
- Effectively handles and resolves day-to-day work site issues including performance warnings, dispute resolution and employee relations.
- Properly communicates with all customers, employees, and management team in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures that fab shop database, spreadsheets, and schedules are managed and kept up to date.
- Completes and distributes all paperwork associated with employees including but not limited to attendance, performance, and training.
- Works closely and communicates with Field Ops Manager.
- Always maintain Temp-Con top safety and quality standards.
- All other duties as assigned by Vice President Of Construction Operations including general fabrication tasks and assists in CAD fabrication.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 5 years prior Fab Shop experience.
- Background in HVAC and/or construction preferred.
Job Skills:
- Strong math skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understands and adheres to SMACNA Duct Construction Standards.
- Experience with CAM Duct
Physical requirements:
- Able to stand for up to eight hours per day.
- Eyesight correctable to 20/50
- Able to perform shift work
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Flexible hours
