Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Telugu Researcher (social sector) to join our team in Gurugram. The role involves fieldwork, stakeholder interactions, data collection, and translation of insights from Telugu-speaking regions. Active involvement in problem-solving and adaptability in field settings, good understanding of research methodologies (qualitative & quantitative). This role combines field research with analytical work, supporting end-to-end project execution.
Walkins are open for 6th April 2026 onwards between 9AM - 11AM.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct household surveys, FGDs, and in-depth interviews
Engage with community members and stakeholders
Ensure accurate and timely data collection using digital tools
Document field insights, case studies, and observations
Perform daily data quality checks and reporting
Manage field investigators and vendors
Support data collection, validation
Conduct primary research including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs) in Telugu-speaking regions
Translate questionnaires, tools, and research outputs between Telugu and English
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Telugu (read, write, speak) and working knowledge of English
Minimum 4+ experience in field research / social sector projects / surveys
Familiarity with data collection tools (ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, etc.)
Prior experience in sectors such as education, livelihoods, health, or governance
Ability to work independently and in teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
