Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Virar for a Teller Authoriser at HDFC Bank. The Teller Authoriser will oversee daily teller transactions, ensure the accuracy and safety of cash handling processes, and assist in authorizing cash deposits and withdrawals. The role involves verifying customer documents, resolving discrepancies, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures, and delivering exceptional service to customers. Additional responsibilities include supporting the branch's operations, monitoring cash transactions, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of banking processes, cash handling, and compliance procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially in verifying transactions and identifying discrepancies
  • Proficiency in customer service and communication skills to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills for handling customer inquiries and operational challenges
  • Proficiency with MS Office and banking-related software is a plus
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in a banking role or financial institution will be an advantage
