Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Telesales Representative role based in Kolkata. The Telesales Representative will make outbound and receive inbound calls to promote insurance and investment products, explain service offerings, and respond to prospect inquiries. Responsibilities include identifying customer needs, presenting suitable financial solutions, handling objections, and guiding potential clients through the sales process. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of calls and outcomes in CRM or internal systems, following up on leads, and meeting or exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. The Telesales Representative will collaborate with the sales and customer service teams, follow company processes and compliance guidelines, and participate in ongoing training to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal communication and active listening.
- Customer Service and Customer Support skills to handle inquiries, build trust, and resolve concerns professionally.
- Sales skills, including lead conversion, objection handling, and working with targets or KPIs.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from Training programs, and openness to continuous skill development.
- Basic understanding of insurance and investment products or willingness to learn quickly.
- Comfortable working in an on-site, phone-driven environment in Kolkata with consistent call volumes.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining records and following processes.
- Prior telesales, call center, or financial services experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in commerce, finance, or business is a plus.
