**Job Description**
This is a full-time on-site TeleCounselor position located in Mumbai. Experience in educational technology is required. The TeleCounselor will communicate with potential learners and clients via phone calls, explain educational products and services, and guide them through the enrollment or onboarding processes. Daily responsibilities include managing outbound and inbound calls, understanding the needs of learners, providing accurate information about programs, and maintaining detailed records in CRM or call-tracking systems. The role involves following up with leads, meeting counseling and conversion targets, coordinating with sales and operations teams, and ensuring that each caller has a positive and informative experience. The TeleCounselor is expected to adhere to company policies, maintain high professional standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of counseling processes.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to speak English clearly, have proficiency in the local language, be able to listen actively, and have the ability to build rapport over the phone.
- Candidates should possess skills in telecounseling and sales support, such as handling leads, assessing customer needs, persuasive communication, and providing counseling that focuses on converting customers into buyers within the context of edtech applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in customer service, including the ability to respond quickly, solve problems, resolve conflicts, and provide accurate information and support.
- Candidates should have basic computer skills and knowledge of CRM systems. They should be able to handle call logs, update databases, and use online communication and productivity tools effectively.
- Relevant experience in telecounseling in the field of edtech, inside sales, or academic advising is highly beneficial. It is also important to have knowledge of educational products and processes related to student onboarding.
- The minimum requirement is a high school diploma; it is preferred if one has a graduate degree in any field. It is also important to be able to work full-time on-site in Mumbai and to meet defined performance targets.
