The Auditor partners cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Materials, and Suppliers to strengthen quality processes, improve first-pass yield, and support consistent, reliable delivery across the Distribution Group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Auditing & Inspection

  • Perform audits (on-site and virtual) of integration builds to verify compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standards
  • Conduct first article inspections and validate new assemblies to ensure accuracy prior to full production
  • Perform physical inspections of finished goods, including UVN and Hut/Infrastructure builds, to confirm installation integrity and readiness for deployment
  • Identify defects, non-conformances, and risks prior to shipment to prevent downstream rework and customer impact

Process Validation & Improvement

  • Review assembly drawings, process flows, and control plans to ensure alignment with quality standards and operational execution
  • Identify gaps in processes and initiate corrective action requests (CARs) to address root causes
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to implement process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing defects, rework, and material waste

Quality Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and document audit findings, defect trends, and recurring issues
  • Escalating systemic quality concerns that impact cost, delivery, or customer satisfaction
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders to support resolution and prevent recurrence

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Materials, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure consistent application of quality standards
  • Serve as a quality resource to operations while maintaining independent audit integrity
  • Support quality-related initiatives and special projects as needed

Managerial Responsibility

  • This role has no direct reports.

Travel/Shift Requirements

  • Minimal travel (less than 15%)

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and field environments, including ladders and confined spaces
  • Exposure to operational conditions including electrical components and ESD-sensitive equipment
  • Repetitive use of hands and arms for inspection and documentation activities.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Working knowledge of telecommunications quality standards (e.g., TL9000, AT&T TP standards) and applicable building codes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver feedback constructively and influence outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications, manufacturing, or quality assurance
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with production and operational teams.
