About the role

We're looking for an empathetic and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support benefit-related inquiries in a healthcare setting. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn call center operations. You'll handle inbound calls, assist with benefits enrollment, and provide clear guidance on insurance programs. Key Responsibilities: Answer 30–40 inbound calls daily from employees and dependents Provide accurate information on group insurance utilization and coverage Record employee benefit enrollments and maintain documentation Identify areas for improvement in program design and administrative procedures Explain complex aspects of company insurance programs in a clear, compassionate manner Apply specialized knowledge of benefit plans, company policies, and administrative procedures Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (in-person or phone-based) Strong computer skills; ability to navigate Microsoft Office, manage multiple tabs, and use Webex Patience, compassion, and a willingness to learn call center processes during training Stable job history—tenure is a key factor in hiring decisions Preferred (Not Required): Familiarity with benefits programs or open enrollment processes Previous call center experience
