Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tekla Modeler to create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings for structural steel and/or concrete projects using Tekla Structures. The role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models for structural steel / precast / rebar using Tekla.
- Generate GA drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and reports from the model.
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Ensure models comply with project specifications and international standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for clash detection and design coordination.
- Perform model checks for accuracy, constructability, and completeness.
- Maintain model revisions and updates as per project changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2–10+ years of experience in Tekla modeling (based on role level).
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures (steel / precast / rebar modules).
- Good understanding of structural drawings and detailing standards.
- Knowledge of fabrication and erection processes.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination tools.
- Basic understanding of software like:
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on international projects (Japan, US, Europe, etc.).
- Knowledge of BIM Level 2 standards.
- Ability to create custom components and templates in Tekla.
- Exposure to clash detection and coordination workflows.
