Job Summary:
We are hiring Tekla Steel Detailers / Modelers at multiple experience levels (2 to 15 years). The role involves 3D modeling, steel detailing, preparing shop drawings, and coordinating with internal teams and clients. Candidates will work on structural steel projects ranging from basic to highly complex structures.
Key Responsibilities:
For Junior Level (03 Years):
Assist in developing 3D models using Tekla Structures
Prepare GA drawings and basic shop drawings
Support connection detailing under supervision
Extract MTO/BOM reports
Understand design drawings and project requirements
Implement markups and revisions from senior team members
Maintain model standards and organization
Coordinate with internal teams
For Senior Level (510+ Years):
Lead development of complex steel 3D models in Tekla
Review and approve GA, shop, and erection drawings
Design and finalize steel connections (bolted/welded)
Handle project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Perform advanced quantity take-offs and estimation support
Coordinate with clients, engineers, and fabricators
Review IFC drawings, RFIs, and redlines
Ensure compliance with AISC, IS, BS, Eurocode standards
Mentor and guide junior team members
Manage multiple projects and deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications:
For Junior Level:
0–3 years of experience in steel detailing
Basic knowledge of Tekla Structures
Understanding of structural steel and fabrication concepts
Ability to read engineering drawings
Willingness to learn and adapt
For Senior Level:
5–10+ years of experience in Tekla steel detailing
Strong expertise in complex structures and connections
In-depth knowledge of fabrication and erection processes
Experience with international projects (US/UK/AU)
Strong knowledge of AISC, Eurocode, IS standards
Good communication and leadership skills
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Exposure to international detailing standards
Prior experience in BIM projects
Team handling experience (for senior roles)
