Role Description The Tekla Modeler will create and manage detailed 3D models of structural and miscellaneous steel components using Tekla Structures for various global projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings, developing erection and shop drawings, coordinating with engineers and detailers, and performing clash detection and model checks to ensure accuracy and constructability. The role also involves preparing material take-offs, supporting connection detailing, and collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kerala, India, working closely with the local and international project teams.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for 3D modeling, detailing of structural and miscellaneous steel, and drawing generation.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, steel fabrication standards, and connection details.
- Experience with material take-offs, shop and erection drawings, and basic understanding of connection design principles.
- Familiarity with modern detailing workflows, licensed CAD/BIM software, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications and codes.
- Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other modelers in a team environment.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field; prior experience in steel detailing is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Kerala, India and manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
