We are looking for a Tekla Checker (Junior and Senior) with strong practical experience in structural steel detailing and hands-on capability in Tekla Structures for Australian steel projects.
The Junior Tekla Checker supports quality assurance by reviewing models and drawings and ensuring corrections are implemented accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in checking models and drawings against project requirements
Identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information
Maintain model and drawing comment logs
Coordinate corrections with modelers and detailers
Support initiatives to reduce repeat errors
The Senior Tekla Checker is accountable for final quality sign-off of models and drawings, ensuring zero-defect submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Independently check models and drawings in a complete checking cycle
Ensure compliance with structural and architectural drawings
Identify root causes of recurring errors and prevent reoccurrence
Mentor junior checkers and delivery teams
Support scheduling, risk identification, and delivery planning
Act as the final quality gate before client submission
