Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tekla Checker (AISC) at our Chennai office. The Tekla Checker will be responsible for reviewing and verifying structural steel detailing and shop drawings in compliance with AISC standards. Key tasks include cross-checking designs to ensure accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies, coordinating with detailing teams, and maintaining quality standards. The candidate will collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of projects while adhering to client specifications and industry codes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures software with expertise in structural steel detailing and checking processes
- Thorough understanding of AISC codes and standards
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify discrepancies in shop drawings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with detailing teams and clients
- Relevant academic background in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent field
- Experience with detailing software for buildings, industrial, or infrastructure projects is an added advantage
- Ability to work independently while ensuring quality and efficiency in an on-site team environment
