Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tekla role based in Bengaluru. The Tekla professional will be responsible for creating and detailing structural steel and concrete models using Tekla Structures, including preparing general arrangement drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting structural and architectural drawings, coordinating with design and site teams, and ensuring models and drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and company standards. The role also involves performing clash checks, maintaining revision control, and updating models and drawings throughout the project lifecycle. The Tekla professional will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support accurate, timely, and constructible deliverables for industrial and commercial projects.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures, including 3D modeling, detailing, and generation of GA, shop, and fabrication drawings.
- Sound understanding of structural engineering concepts, especially steel and concrete structures used in industrial and commercial projects.
- Ability to interpret and work from structural, architectural, and MEP drawings, with attention to accuracy and constructability.
- Experience with industry standards, building codes, and detailing practices relevant to Indian and international projects.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; Tekla certification or formal training is an advantage.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial construction projects and familiarity with other CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is beneficial.
