Role Description The Tehkhand Dipo Bus Driver at Starcrest India is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Delhi Area. The role involves safely operating company buses on designated routes to and from Tehkhand depot, adhering to traffic rules and company policies at all times. Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitoring fuel levels, and reporting any maintenance needs promptly. The driver will ensure safe boarding and deboarding of passengers, provide courteous assistance to riders, and maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. The role also requires keeping accurate logs of trips, following assigned schedules, coordinating with supervisors, and complying with all safety and security procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial vehicle operation skills, including Bus and Truck Driving, with a valid and current heavy vehicle driving license.
- Demonstrated Defensive Driving abilities and adherence to traffic, safety, and company regulations.
- Completion of formal Driver Training programs and willingness to participate in ongoing refresher training.
- Customer Service skills to interact respectfully and professionally with passengers and site personnel.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience driving buses or heavy vehicles, preferably in urban or depot-based operations.
- Good knowledge of road routes in the Greater Delhi Area and ability to follow schedules and instructions reliably.
- Physical fitness to handle long driving hours and routine vehicle checks, with a strong focus on safety and alertness.
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions and logs in English or Hindi; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations; familiarity with company and regulatory compliance requirements.
