About the role
We are seeking an experienced PMO / Portfolio Management Lead to lead portfolio governance, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement across our technology function. Working closely with senior stakeholders including the CTO and Head of QA & Governance, you will drive delivery standards, manage portfolio performance and lead project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the technology project portfolio.
- Drive portfolio governance, reporting and delivery standards.
- Monitor risks, issues, dependencies and escalations.
- Lead project approval and governance forums.
- Ensure effective resource and capacity planning.
- Manage portfolio-level reporting, metrics and performance.
- Lead and mentor Project Delivery Managers and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practices across delivery teams.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading PMO or Portfolio Management functions.
- Strong project, programme and portfolio governance experience.
- Experience managing technology delivery portfolios.
- People leadership and line management experience.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing risks, escalations and third-party vendors.
- Ability to drive process improvement and delivery excellence.
- Experience working in complex or transformational technology environments.
Preferred: PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, MoP, P3O, Agile or similar project/programme management certifications.
