Your Job

You will join the PSBU‑CCS Technology Team in Bangalore reporting to the Technology Manager. In this role you will scout and evaluate emerging technologies, turn early ideas into validated engineering concepts, and accelerate decision-making through modeling, prototyping, and cross‑functional collaboration to support Molex’s future interconnect and liquid‑cooling solutions.

Our Team

The PSBU‑CCS Technology Team focuses on forward‑looking interconnect and cooling technology development—bridging research, simulation, materials, and product teams to create actionable technology roadmaps and validated early‑stage concepts.

What You Will Do

  • Scout and assess emerging technologies and market/standards landscapes to inform technology roadmaps and opportunity areas.
  • Formulate engineering hypotheses and run feasibility analyses that guide early concept selection and risk reduction.
  • Translate concepts into validated prototypes using modeling, simulation inputs, and hands‑on prototyping to demonstrate technical viability.
  • Create and iterate 3D concept models and layouts in Siemens NX to enable design studies and handoff to downstream teams.
  • Collaborate with simulation, materials, testing, and product development teams to mature concepts and produce clear technical recommendations.
  • Capture outcomes in technical documentation, concept notes, and invention disclosures; incorporate standards/compliance thinking early (UL/IEC/OCP awareness).

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (Thermal, Energy Systems, Mechatronics, Materials, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience in R&D, concept development, or technology scouting.
  • Demonstrated research or innovation output: at least one technical paper or patent (published, submitted, or granted).
  • Proficient in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and concept/layout development (mandatory).
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional, global teams and documenting technical work clearly.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Hands‑on exposure to liquid cooling technologies (cold plates, immersion, manifolds, air‑to‑liquid systems).
  • Experience with thermal/CFD/FEA simulation tools and DFM/DFR or DFMEA processes.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle tools such as Teamcenter and Polarion.
  • Awareness of certification and compliance frameworks (UL, IEC, OCP) and design implications.
  • Prior experience building prototypes and running experimental validation setups for thermal/interconnect systems.
