Role Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and solution-oriented Technology Analyst to join our technology and automation team. This role focuses on developing automation tools, scripts, and internal systems that streamline research, data processing, and investment banking workflows.
The position involves working closely with research, analytics, and deal teams to eliminate manual processes, build scalable automation solutions, and improve operational efficiency across investment banking, investor relations, and private equity support functions. This role is well suited for individuals interested in applying technology and automation to complex financial research and deal workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions to streamline repetitive research, data collection, and analytical workflows.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate data extraction, processing, and formatting from financial databases, filings, and market sources.
- Build internal utilities that support research teams with company screening, transaction tracking, and information aggregation.
- Automate recurring deliverables such as data updates, benchmarking reports, and research datasets.
- Improve internal workflows by identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation-driven solutions.
- Support integration of multiple data sources and automate data ingestion pipelines for internal analysis.
- Develop and maintain reusable scripts and tools that enhance productivity across deal and research teams.
- Collaborate with analysts and researchers to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in automation, scripting, data engineering, or technology roles supporting analytics teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar programming languages used for automation and data processing.
- Experience building automation workflows for data collection, web scraping, or document processing.
- Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and handling large datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including automation techniques such as VBA or scripting integrations.
- Understanding of financial data sources, investment banking workflows, or private equity research processes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to design efficient, scalable solutions.
